Bilangan ahli kecil tapi cabaran amat besar

Knowing Your Heart 2

Chambers - Our heart has four chambers - two superior atria (a'tre-ah) and two inferior ventricles (ven' tri-kls). The internal partition that divides the heart longitudinal is called either - interatrial septum or interventricular septum , depending on which chambers it separates. The right ventricle forms most of the anterior surface of the heart. The left ventricle dominates the inferoposterior aspect of the heart and forms the heart apex. Atria- The Receiving Chambers Except for small, wrinkled, potruding appendages called auricle, which increase the atrial volume somewhat, the right and left atria are remarkably free of distinguishing surface features. Functionally, the atria are receiving chambers for blood returning to the heart from the circulation (atrium= entry way) because they need contract only minimally push blood "next door" into ventricle, the atria is relatively small, thin-walled chambers.

Knowing of our Heart 1

The heart wall is composed of three layers: a Superficial epicardium, a middle myocardium, and a deep endocardium. All three layers are richly supplied with blood vessels. Epicardium was explained as before and now is myocardium "muscle heart" , composed mainly of cardiac muscle, forms the bulk of the heart it is the layer that actually contracts. The connective tissue fibers form a dense network, called the fibrous skeleton of the heart, that reinforces the myocardium internally and anchors the cardiac muscle fibers. The endocardium (" inside the heart") is a glistening white sheet of endothelium tissue layer. resting on a thin connective tissue. Located on the inner myocardial surface, its lines the heart chambers and covers the connective tissue skeleton of the valves.

Maintenance of our Body 1

Our heart is enclosed in a double - walled sac called 1) pericardium(per' i-kar' de-um) and the loosely fitting superficial part called 2) myocardium ('muscle heart"). 1) In pericardium= peri= "around" and cardi= "heart", the loosely fitting superficial part called sac fibrous pericardium. This tough, dense connective tissue layer for (a) Protect the heart, (b) anchors it to surrounding structures, suc as the diaphragm and the great vessels that issue from the heart and (c) prevents overfilling of the heart with blood. In deep of this fibrous pericardium is the serous pericardium, a thin slippery which composed 2 layers; parietal layer and visceral layer( also call as epicardium- this is an integral part of the heart wall). Between the two layers of serous pericardium is the slitlike pericardial cavity, which contains a film of serous fluid. The serous membranes, lubricated by the fluid, glide smoothly against one and another during heart activity.

Where is your heart?

Fren, Where is your heart man? It is snugly enclosed within the mediastinum (me'deah-sti'num), the medial cavity of the thorax, the heart extends obliquely for 12 to 14cm (about 5 inches) from the second rib to the fifth intercostal space. Is it is rests on the superior surface of the diaphragm, the heart is lies anterior to the vertebral column and posterior to the sternum. Approximately two-thirds of its mass lies to the left of the midsternal line; the balance projects to the right. Its broad, flat base, or posterior surface, is about 9 cm wide and is directed towards the right shoulder. Its apex points inferiorly towards the left hip. So.. If you press your fingers between the fifth and sixth ribs just below your left nipple, you can easily feel the beating of your heart where the apex contacts the chest wall. hence, this site is referred to as the point of maximal intensity (PMI). That's your heart and my heart be situated fren yeh yeh yeh.

Heart? Size?

Fern, People used to say : "Learn by heart" or be serious right? However, this topic is about" human heart" with the anatomy of it ok yeh yeh yeh. Size, Location and Orientation The relative size and weight of the heart belie its incredible strength and endurance. It is about the size of a fist, the hollow, cone-shaped heart looks enough like the popular valentine image to satisfy the sentimentalist. Typically, its weight between 250 to 350g. Well, let started with this simple info ok bye.
